Prayer – Jesus taught us to Pray…

1 Chor 11:1 and you should imitate me, as I imitate Christ…

4 things I want to look into today!

PRAYER IS LEARNT

LORDS PRAYER HERE – TRADITIONAL ONE HERE

PRAYER IS SEEKING

IS looking for the heart of God

 – when was the last time PRAYER – or going to GOD was your FIRST RESPONSE?

PRAYER IS PERSISTENT

Moses, David… most people with Jesus… PLEADED for Him…

LUKE 11 again – KNOCK – SEEK – ASK

PRAYER IS CONNECTION

What happens when you listen, when you engage… you connect

WAIT – LISTEN – LEAN IN (In HIM)

LUKE 11 Once Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”
Jesus said, “This is how you should pray:[a]
“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened

The Lord’s Prayer Traditional Form

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
