Miracles of Deliverance
Preacher: Mark Palmer | Series: Miracles
FOUR TYPES OF MIRACLES
• Miracles of healing.
• Miracles of protection.
• Miracles of provision.
• Miracles of deliverance.
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 NLT
• We over-emphasize demonic influence.
• We under-emphasize demonic influence.
WHAT DO DEMONS DO?
• Demons tempt you to sin.
… they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them
captive to do his will. 2 Timothy 2:26
• Demons distract you from God’s will.
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving
spirits and things taught by demons. 1 Timothy 4:1
• Demons inflict suffering.
“Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water.” … 17Jesus replied, … “Bring the boy here to me.” 18 Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment. Matthew 17:15, 17-18
YOU HAVE MIRACULOUS AUTHORITY OVER DARKNESS IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. Matthew 10:1
• Don’t assume every problem is a result of demonic influence.
• Don’t assume any problem isn’t a result of demonic influence.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. John 1:5 NLT
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Ephesians 6:12-13 NLT
Talk It Over
Pastor Mark talked about the mistakes of overemphasizing evil or underemphasizing it. How have you experienced either of these?
Read Ephesians 6:12. How can you apply this Scripture to your daily life?
Is there anything you’re struggling with that you need to battle both practically and spiritually?
