Being Right

Service Type:

Preacher: Mark Palmer

I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle … And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time. Ecclesiastes 9:11
Inside the city, near the Sheep Gate, was the pool of Bethesda, with five covered porches. Crowds of sick people—blind, lame, or paralyzed—lay on the porches. One of the men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him and knew he had been ill for a long time, he asked him, “Would you like to get well?”
“I can’t, sir,” the sick man said, “for I have no one to put me into the pool when the water bubbles up. Someone else always gets there ahead of me.” Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!” Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking! John 5:2-9 NLT

– One of the key ways, we can find those “right place, right time” moments is by actually looking for where God’s already working and what God is already doing.
… “My Father is always working, and so am I.” John 5:17
… “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.” John 5:19
– You don’t have to start a movement to be a part of a movement.
– When you are in the right place at the right time with the right response, God does the exponential.

Have you ever been in the right place at the right time for something amazing? What happened?
What plans would you need to abandon to get on board with God’s plans?
What are some ways you see God already working around you? How can you join the momentum?
