Holy Spirit Fall on Us by Bailee Blakeslee

And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing in his hand. (judges 14:6)

Peter said to them, “Each one of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven; and you will receive God’s gift, the Holy Spirit.(Acts 2:37)

God poured out the Holy Spirit abundantly on us through Jesus Christ our Savior (Titus 3:6)

There are those who believe the Holy Spirit did not work in the same manner during the Old Testament age as He does today. Although it has been the same Holy Spirit all along. The Holy Spirit in the Old Testament was not universal to every believer, but was available only to certain believers. Now that Jesus came and died for our sins we can all be full with the Spirit if we accept Him as our Savior.

Through Accepting Jesus as our Savior we are all filled with the Holy Spirit. We should go about our lives clothed in the power of the Holy Spirit and walk with our heads held high knowing that the Spirit is with us in seasons of doubt, despair, and sorrow. Therefore, we can show Durango and the community just how great the Holy Spirit is.

Heavenly Father we thank You for sending your Son, so that through Him we can receive the Spirit in our lives to have the courage, power, strength and knowledge to walk the path of righteousness. We ask that You would continuously keep pouring out Your Spirit onto us to lead others the gift of salvation. For we know that without Your Son we would not have the Spirit in all of us as believers and be empowered to this life You called us to live.
