Coronavirus Information

Dear River Church Family,

These past few weeks have been so different for all of us. This season has brought unique challenges and hardships as well as revealed to us what we truly treasure and appreciate. Not being able to meet weekly is something none of us foresaw happening in our lifetime. To be able to see and hear and hug people is a gift we dearly miss. While the online services have helped, it’s definitely not a replacement for the community we’ve been designed for.

The governor of Colorado has begun to reopen gatherings in our state, however, we are not quite at a place for meeting in our buildings. We are currently working towards new and different ways to encourage one another. Over the next few weeks we will lay out and communicate new plans for gathering, discipling, and supporting each other until the pandemic subsides.

Although we do not know the end, we know God is in control and He will lead and guide us through this. He has prepared us for this season and He is preparing us for what is to come.

Thank you all for joining us on this journey. We continue to pray for each of you!

Based on government recommendations about large gatherings and in the best interest of you and our Durango community as a whole, WE WILL MOVE TO ONLINE SERVICES ONLY ON SUNDAY, MARCH 22.

We will live-stream both worship and a teaching message at 9:30am. You will be able to find it on our Facebook Page (PLEASE interact!) and also on our website and app.

How we connect will look different, for sure, but we can still worship together if even virtually.

If you cannot tune in live please note that we also make a video and audio version of our Sunday message available by 1:00pm each Sunday on our website and on our App.

We ask that you access our Sunday service at your convenience.

We are planning and assessing what student ministry and kids ministry will look like as online, “distance” ministries. This week (Spring Break week) was scheduled to be an “off” week anyway for next gen ministries, so we are using this week to get a solid plan in place. Stay tuned.
