Scripture:
Matthew 6:26 TLV
26 Look at the birds of the air. They do not sow or reap or gather into barns; yet your Father in heaven feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Observation:
It is hard enough to trust someone who is physically sitting right beside you, let alone someone you can not see. But here's the thing about trust, it's a risk in all honesty, especially without a safety net floating right beneath you at all times.

As humans, we tend to avoid the vulnerability it takes to trust in someone or something, we fear the pain or hurt that it may cause. We don’t want to let our walls down, the walls that we build after we’ve experienced pain. We tend to add new bricks whenever we feel threatened or that our safety net has failed us, BUT God is so worthy of our trust. He knows better than we do. He knows our next step before we even come close to thinking about it. We need to stop being tempted by worrying, & instead choose to press into Him. Take the jump, let Him lead you to walk on water. Trust that no matter the circumstance, no matter the timing, no matter the severity, our God will show up. He will fight. He will protect. He will provide. If He values the birds in the sky and provides for all of their needs, trust that God will do the same for you. Know God finds more value in you, and He will treat you with such.

Application:
Trust can be cripplingly terrifying, but knowing that all we need is a spark of faith in order to start the fire of trust should be uplifting. When a spark hits a field of dead grass everything can become engulfed in flames in a matter of seconds, doesn't mean that there aren’t some patches that take longer to burn, but as long as whats surrounding it is aflame those patches will catch too. We are the field, one glimpse of faith will set us aflame for God. The entire chapter of Hebrews 11 lists examples of the extreme faith and therefore the fire of trust other fields have in Adoni. I strongly encourage you to read and observe Hebrews 11. Evaluate the trust that you have in the Lord.

Prayer:
Lord, sometimes the way ahead seems so clear, but at other times the way seems shrouded with uncertainty. Give me the knowledge of my worth, so I can be like the birds, full faith in your feeding of me. Help me to not sow or reap things that You so graciously will give to me. Be my spark Lord, set my fire in my field of grass so I can light the world with your burning passion for people. I step into the future, Your future, I place my trust in the way You are pointing me. Amen
