How do you begin to become a prayer warrior? By praying daily for your community and bearing witness to answered prayers.

Today’s Scripture

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.

—1 Timothy 2:1-2, NLT

I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on Earth concerning anything you ask, My Father in heaven will do it for you.

—Matthew 18:19, NLT

If My people who are called by My name put away their pride and pray, and look for My face, and turn from their sinful ways, then I will hear from heaven. I will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now My eyes will be open. And My ears will hear the prayer that is made in this place.

—2 Chron. 7:14-15, NLV

Prayer + Reflection

  1. The miraculous power of God pen- etrates our human frailty and brings divine understanding. Ask the Lord for the Holy Spirit’s powerful presence and healing power to be prevalent.
  2. Pray for God’s truth to be revealed against lies and evil in the world.
  3. Ask God for justice and compassion for the poor and helpless, and that you will find tangible ways to help share His love with them.

Family Moment

Start a family prayer wall. Write or draw requests on sticky notes and place them on the wall. Pray daily with confidence in Jesus’ faithfulness for each request. Update the sticky notes with dates and move to a new section of the wall as prayers are answered.
